Gas-liquid chromatographic determination
A method for the determination of total bile acids in human feces that is suitable for routine application is described and discussed. Bile acids are extracted from freezedried feces with acetic acid and toluene, in the presence of the i?ternal standard 23-nordeoxycholic acid. After saponification of the extract, bile acids and the internal standard are methylated and converted by mild chromic ...
متن کاملGas-liquid chromatographic analysis of urinary steroids.
A method for gas-liquid chromatographic separation and quantitation of urinary steroid metabolites is described. A normal reference range has been established and classic examples of urinary steroid profiles of the major steroid disorders are given.
متن کاملRapid gas-liquid chromatographic method for plasma verapamil level determination.
Verapamil is a newly marketed antiarrhythmic drug. It has a significant presystemic elimination when administered orally and, therefore, intravenous therapy is often recommended. Optimum therapeutic effect is obtained when verapamil plasma concentrations are between 100 and 400 ng/ml. Several chromatographic procedures for the determination of verapamil in biological fluids have been described ...
متن کاملGas-liquid chromatographic isolation, identification, and quantitation of some barbiturates, glutethimide, and diphenylhydantoin in whole blood.
An accurate method is described for the qualitative and quantitative determination of 11 barbiturates, glutethimide, and diphenylhydantoin in a single extract obtained from 1 ml of whole blood, which is extracted with ether at pH 2 and separately but simultaneously gas-liquid chromatographed on a selective (3% OV-17) and a nonselective (5% OV.1) column. Retention data are given. Results for bar...
متن کاملGas--liquid chromatographic assay of aminoglutethimide and a high-performance liquid chromatographic assay for its acetyl metabolite in biological fluids.
A rapid, sensitive and selective gas--liquid chromatographic assay for aminoglutethimide is described. The same extraction procedure may be employed prior to a high-performance liquid chromatographic assay for acetamidoglutethimide which is also detailed. Both assays are suitable for the study of the pharmacokinetics of aminoglutethimide and acetamidoglutethimide in biological fluids in man.
